Danielle "Dani" Wright
Founder, Executive Director
“Dreams are lovely. But they are just dreams. Fleeting, ephemeral, pretty. But dreams do not come true just because you dream them. It’s hard work that makes things happen. It’s hard work that creates change.” – Shonda Rhimes
Founding Oasis House
Oasis House for Healing and Restoration was founded in April 2022 by Danielle Wright who was inspired to develop the organization after her own experiences with domestic violence. As Danielle fought to overcome the devastation of being abused, she quickly learned the gaps in the justice and healthcare systems were major obstacles to her receiving and maintaining protection. She soon understood why so many women return to their abuser – financial struggles and guilt.
Danielle has always believed there is power in our pain. The author of the book “Power in My Pain: The Keys to Convert the Pain of Infertility and Chronic Illness into Personal Power,” now had to tap into that same strength to overcome being violated by someone she loved and for whom she cared. While it seemed to be an uphill battle, one that was wrought with feelings of guilt, shame, and humiliation, Danielle knew she could not remain silent. She launched Oasis House for Healing and Restoration in prayer and with a burning desire to catalyze change in the criminal justice and healthcare systems.
Within four months of its founding, Oasis House was able to assist four women with safety planning, finding resources, and advocacy in court.
A Servant’s Heart
Danielle, who is also Founder and Chief Strategist at Wright Relations, a communications firm, developed a hankering for helping others at an early age. Because of her faith and passion for public relations, community engagement, and sports, Danielle converted her hobbies into a first-class, boutique communications and branding firm.
Danielle’s leadership as founder of Wright Relations and dedication to the community landed her on the board of directors for two non-profit organizations – Limitless Ambition, where she serves as the chair of the Marketing and Community Outreach Committee and, most recently, the NAACP Euclid Branch Youth Division as Vice President. She served two years on the Healing Hearts Counseling and Consultation Board of Directors (2017 and 2018), and served as an advisory board member for the Black Women in Sport Foundation for nearly 10 years.
Professionally, Danielle served as sports information director for three universities, development and athletic director at a Christian school for one year, and residential life director and assistant dean at a college and private Holy Cross school for a total of six years.
Her most recent accomplishments include being named a 2017 Lady of Legacy, 2019 Ambition List, and a keynote speaker for the 2021 Black CEO Black and Iconic Virtual Conference.
